A Quest to Get the money I Needed to Get My Book Published
happen to be an aspiring writer and it’s very difficult to make sufficient money to settle the bills when you have not been published. I went on the internet to search for grants for writers to locate out if there would be any funds available that could help me with my bills while I was showing my manuscript around to various publishing companies. An aspiring writer faces a whole lot of rejection and you have to hear a great number of no’s before anyone finally hear a yes and it’s quite difficult to obtain grant money also so while I’m planning to get my dream started I have tried out a number of different ways to improve funds.
One thing that I thought would help me to raise some dough pretty quickly could be selling a timeshare that I actually inherited from my grandma. She had a nice unit on the Hawaiian island of Oahu and I’ve even stayed at that place more than once myself. I thought I would be able to get a respectable chunk of change for the unit but as soon as I began attempting to sell it I realized that it’s not easy to unload an unwanted timeshare. There usually are not very many buyers for them and there are actually a quite a few people trying to sell. The laws of supply and demand will dictate that this scenario is often a recipe for lowball offers.
I was able to raise some money selling various items I have lying around on craigs list. I sold some old comic books, baseball cards along with other memorabilia and made some decent money however I wasn’t exactly in a position to replace the inventory to maintain selling that type of stuff. I was getting desperate to not just make money but to cut costs wherever I could so I proceeded to go on the internet and began researching cheap auto insurance in California to see if I might be able to get a better rate on my month to month costs. The good news is, it did not take much time at all to learn that I was paying out quite a bit more than THAT I wanted to. I changed providers and now I am saving around $575 annually.
After conducting an exhaustive search and plenty of paperwork I was ultimately in a position to get a writing grant that will give me enough cash to invest a few months pitching my book to various publishing companies. Maybe I will get lucky and obtain a major publishing deal and end up with a best seller.
